How to Take a Good Passport Photo Part Four

It's also obviously important that your face is clear and not obscured. If you take a passport photo then you must avoid wearing anything on your face or head such as a hat or sun glasses. While glasses might be acceptable it's important that the eyes be visible, so if in doubt you should remove the glasses. Likewise hair must not cover the eyes or large portions of he face, and in fact it's important that the start of your ears be visible. For those with long hair then, it is advised that you tuck this back behind the ears to prevent it getting in the way of your passport photo. Finally, it is recommended that clothing be chosen to contrast the white background - so avoid white tops.

By following these guidelines it's possible to create a great looking passport photo. Remember that if you are using these for promotional materials such as plastic business cards too, then it is important to try and ensure your passport photos look good as well as being acceptable. To do this you can opt to use some makeup or other products, or to gel up your hair or style it. As long as your face is clearly visible and relatively neutral then it will also be acceptable as a form of identification.
