There are also certain other guidelines regarding your passport photo. The background must be plain or white for instance - and not a busy street. If you can't find a suitable background then try hanging up a plain white bed sheet behind you. Make sure your face is central and looking forward at the camera - no profile shots will be acceptable and neither will photographs where you're just a small feature in the corner. Likewise you must be the only person in your passport picture- group shots are not acceptable as it won't be possible to quickly identify you. The image must also be good quality and should have high definition and be in full colour. If the camera has a portrait mode then this will normally be a good setting to use. You also want to avoid using a flash where possible as these create shadows, so ensure there is as much light as possible in the room when you take the passport photo. |
